Will legacy connectivity channels (e.g., TCP/IP, API Direct) continue to be supported?

Yes. Existing connectivity methods such as TCP/IP and API Direct will continue to be supported.

However, here’s what you need to know:

  • New participants onboarding DuitNow products and services supported by the Modernised API from September 2025 onward are required to adopt API v3.

  • Existing participants can continue using their current connections (e.g., TCP/IP, API Direct) if still valid, but are expected to transition to the Modernised API based on commercial readiness.

Future Sunset & Deprecation Strategy

PayNet will revisit the deprecation and sunset plan only after all DuitNow products and services are fully supported under the Modernised API framework. This approach supersedes the earlier high-level timeline shared under PEF 2.0.

This phased and flexible strategy is designed to minimise disruption, giving participants time to assess, plan, and transition effectively.
