What is the rollout plan for the Modernised API?

The Modernised API is being introduced through a phased rollout for DuitNow products and services. Each phase brings incremental improvements to support a smooth transition and seamless integration for participants.

Phase 1 – General Availability (GA) by 29 September 2025

Includes:

  • Network Administration (pre-requisite setup)

  • National Addressing Database (NAD)

  • DuitNow Transfer

  • DuitNow QR – Merchant Presented Mode (MPM) for Domestic Payments

Not yet supported in Phase 1:

  • DuitNow QR – MPM (Cross-Border)

  • DuitNow Online Banking / Wallets

  • DuitNow AutoDebit

  • DuitNow Consent

  • DuitNow Request

  • DuitNow QR – Consumer Presented Mode (CPM) – Domestic Payment

  • DuitNow Pay

  • DuitNow Cross Border Remittance (P2P)

  • JomPAY

  • MyDebit

To ensure stability, selected pilot participants will begin testing the API ahead of the GA timeline. This early engagement helps refine the experience and ensures industry-wide readiness.

What’s next?
Syndication for the remaining products will follow once the roadmap is finalised. Updates will be shared through the PayNet Engagement Forum (PEF). We encourage all participants to stay actively engaged via PEF to receive the latest information.
