💳 Shared ATM Network (SAN)

 

The Shared ATM Network (SAN) operated by Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet) is a nationwide interbank switching infrastructure that enables bank customers to conveniently access their funds from more than 10,000 ATMs belonging to participating banks across Malaysia.

This network allows customers to perform routine banking transactions such as:

  • Cash withdrawals
  • Balance inquiries
  • Funds transfers

These services are available at any ATM within the network, regardless of which bank issued their card.

 

💡 Tip: You can avoid long queues or out-of-service machines by using any available ATM in the network, not just your issuing bank’s.

 

🌐 Interoperability and Cross-Border Support

 

The Shared ATM Network enhances customer convenience by eliminating the need to use only their own bank’s ATMs and supports interoperability among Malaysian banks.

Additionally, it includes cross-border cash withdrawal services, enabling customers to withdraw cash from ATMs in participating countries.

 

⚠️ Warning: Cross-border withdrawals may be subject to additional fees and foreign exchange rates. Always check with your bank before travelling.
