Step 1: Choose an Acquirer (Bank or eWallet Provider)
Merchants need to select a DuitNow QR acquirer, which can be a participating
bank or e-wallet provider. This acquirer will facilitate DuitNow QR payment
acceptance and settlement.
Step 2: Register as a Merchant
- Many acquirers offer self-registration via their mobile apps or online portals.
- Businesses with valid Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) registration or trading licenses are eligible. Some acquirers also support home-based or part-time businesses with NRIC registration.
Step 3: Receive DuitNow QR Code
After approval, merchants will receive a
single DuitNow QR code that can accept payments from
all participating banks and e-wallets nationwide. This QR code can be
printed or displayed digitally at the point of sale.
Step 4: Start Accepting Payments
Customers can scan the DuitNow QR code using their preferred bank or
e-wallet app to make instant, real-time payments directly to the merchant’s
account.
Step 5: Manage Transactions
Merchants can track sales and transaction history via their acquirer’s
merchant portal or app, simplifying reconciliation and cash flow management.
