Introduction
This document provides a comprehensive guide for MyDebit participants to send and manage network messages between their stations and PayNet’s MyDebit Switch via the One Stop Portal (OSP). Through the portal, participants can:
A. View their station's connectivity status with PayNet
B. Enter Maintenance Mode, Perform Sign Off, Sign On, & Key Exchange
Pre-requisite
A. View Participant Station's Status
This section allows participants to check their station’s current connectivity status with the MyDebit network.
1. Log in to OSP and click NextSwitch Console on the left-hand sidebar.
If you don't see NextSwitch Console, it means you haven't been assigned to the One Stop Portal NextSwitch Management Member group. For any access issues, please contact ask@paynet.my for help.
You will be directed to the NextSwitch Console.
2. At the top of the page, you'll find a status panel with two badges:
1. Sign On Status
This indicates whether your organization is currently signed on:
- Signed On: PayNet is actively routing transactions to your organization.
- Signed Off: PayNet is no longer routing transactions to your organization.
2. Marked Up Status
This shows whether the participant is "marked up":
- Marked Up: At least one of your stations can send and receive messages with PayNet.
- Marked Down: None of your stations can send and receive messages with PayNet.
3. Below the status panel, you'll see station cards, each representing a station configured with the MyDebit Switch.
Each card displays status badges that show the station's current connection status:
- Linked Up: This station is connected to PayNet and can successfully send and receive echo messages.
- Linked Down: This station is no longer connected to PayNet and can't send or receive echo messages.
- Unknown: We can't determine the last connection status for this station.
B. Entering Maintenance, Sign Off, Sign On, & Key Exchange
This section guides MyDebit participants in performing essential network operations through the One Stop Portal.
- Maintenance Mode – Recommended when performing system or network maintenance. This temporarily pauses automatic sign-on attempts after sign off.
- Sign Off – Disconnects your stations from the MyDebit network.
- Sign On – Re-establishes your stations' connection with the MyDebit network.
-
Key Exchange – Updates or refreshes encryption keys to maintain secure communication with the PayNet network.
1. Enter Maintenance Mode
When participants are signed off from the network, the switch will continuously attempt to sign them back on by sending 0800 logon requests until an acknowledgment is received. However, if participants intend to perform maintenance, this automatic behavior is unnecessary and counterproductive to the initial sign-off action.
We recommend that participants enable maintenance mode, which disables the switch’s automatic logon attempts until the participant is ready to sign back on to the network.
1. Log in to OSP and click NextSwitch Console on the left-hand sidebar.
2. At the top of the page, find the Actions dropdown menu. Click the options menu and click the Enter Maintenance Mode option.
3. A confirmation dialog will appear. Review the information carefully, then click the checkbox to acknowledge that you understand and accept the terms before proceeding.
4. Once completed, a toast notification will appear on the top right of the page. Your action will also be recorded in the Recent Activities section on the same page.
5. To exit maintenance mode, simply send a Sign On request. The system will automatically disable maintenance mode. Refer to section B.3.

B: When Not In Maintenance Mode:
- A dialog will confirm that Maintenance Mode has yet to be activated.
- It is recommended to enable Maintenance Mode before proceeding. Refer to section B.1.
- If already enabled, please allow up to 5 minutes for this dialog to reflect your changes before performing Sign Off.
- If you choose not to enable Maintenance Mode, you may still proceed to Sign Off at your own discretion.
